Mature Peyote

Germinated in 2002 this rare lophophora williamsii cactus is beautifully symmetrical. It has flowered during the summer of 2011. Kept in an unheated greenhouse and is on its own roots (not grafted).

Above image of slow grown peyote taken November 2011. Please note our plants are not watered over winter. We stop watering in October so this plant is slightly shrivelled as it is in it winter dormant state- this promotes bud formation. When you start watering again in spring your plant will swell and start flowering.
